Secularism... happens only in India....

" India- a land of rich and varied heritage".

It happens only in India that a muslim president, a sikh prime minister, a roman catholic woman as the chief leader of the ruling party, function in peaceful co-existence to form a stable government, along with a 'devout' hindu in the middle to add a little excitement now and then, while a large part of the population tend to beat each other up in the name of religion at the drop of a hat.

  • Hello! Ben here... Great blog, must have taken time to set up! Too bad about religious conflicts... I wish that kind of thing didn't happen... seems like something that doesn't need to, perhaps if your leaders cooperate and understand eachother, then other people will begin to too... I guess there isn't much real religious fighting that goes on here in the US, but there are always people with really strong opinions going about telling everybody else about them... Hope things improve for everybody everywhere, I think we have it in us somewhere, someday...

  • articulate writing does exist, alchemist.
Nice writing ami. My personal opinion would be - religious riots are performed (because most of the time, its preplanned and staged)by only one section of people, who are utterly jobless, mostly illiterates and because they have a person who can talk them into it. I believe with times, all this would come to a stop........someday....I just hope it happens soon.

  • a roman catholic woman as the chief leader of the opposition

    Wonder who it is...

Or did you rather mean a roman catholic woman as the chief leader of the ruling party?
